This is Ridiculous...

Ever been to a Clinic when you feel shocked? or stunned ? but by the results of your medical condition but what attitude the doctors and nurses have? well, i really did had an experience today... It was rather interesting... As you guys know... for tertiary education you paid a sum of your school fees as medical fees up front... so you don't have to pay a single cents when you see a doctor under the school unless it is something very serious la... And from your knowledge most doctors would close at 6pm? 9pm? or even later? well, at my school there is a clinic... surprisingly this clinic is under an PUBLIC insurance company cater to CPF... I have checked out their conslutation price and the dental cost is much higher than the one opposite my house or from what i know... filling a tooth is $30 at this clinic and just $10-15 for a well known private dental clinic.. so is it true that PUBLIC clinic would be cheaper? and more 'out' to help? I beg to differ... Anywae, dental we cannot claim so it does not make a difference la...
So, I went to our school clinic with nicholas today... first of all we had to waited for 2 hours when we are the third on the line... apparently there is another paitent inside the room chatting of whatever with the doctor la... wait 2 hours nevermind... no chair to sit also never mind... so wait la.. cos maybe free thats why have to wait... (we paid for it already k)

Finally, when nic got to go in it was 4pm and the clinic closes at 430pm.. tell me which clinic close that early pls... so lucky nic got to go in after the 2 hours wait..

Apparenly, nic has a corn that he need to be remove cause it is very painful.. he cannot walk properly... And he need to check on his appendicitis cause he just went for operation a few months ago and it still hurts sometimes.. So, it's better he go and check...

After nic told the doctor his 'pain' and 'story', the doctor gave an answer that shocked me and nic... :' sorry i have to go, i got no time to help you... Actually i'm a TEMP doctor.. sorry i cannot help you... how about you come back tmr?'

First of all what is temp doctor? doctor that is a temp staff? doctor or not doctor? certified of not? is it just someone elses cousin just to stand in... Or sometimes he can be doctor and sometimes cannot? we were quite confused la...

second, he got no time to remove a corn and do checks? HUH? HUH? Den we wait so long for what huh? you just keep say you got no time? how much times does it take? you have no time or you don't know how to remove a corn? I really question the ability of this doctor.. how can smu have such service? is this doctor even certified? how can we even feel save when there might be someone dispensing weird medicine to us? and let's don't even start with the flies in the clinic.. ew...

and finally, we have waited like for 2 hours.. you want us to que again tomoro morning? seriously you think we have too much time rite? wah lau.. den this medical fee ah.. we pay upfront also cannot get refund one le.. if anything don't know can sue them also or not cause also no proof... *sigh

So, suck thumb la.. your doctor not free cause maybe rushing for date or something .. or not paid hourly or cutting cost... or he is not a doctor or he is jsut a temp admin standing in... or he just don't care sicne he is paid anywaes... So, nic come out and ask the nurse/clerk/ assistant/ whatever for a time for tomoro morning's appointment... Our jaws dropped when she said... corn ah .. must go to specialist le... ( why doctor never say need specialist, you say need.. den why doctor never refer?) the doctor won't remove for you one.. so now this receptionist become the doctor already.. cause she know this 'doctor' is actually not one... cause removing a corn is too difficult...

With our jaws dropped, we left the clinic..with more than 2 hours wasted ... no appointment.. nothin solved... no hope... corn still there... tummy still got problem... and with a shock about the medical service in our school...
